Ankle Sprain Recovery

Focusing on recovery.

When I sprained my ankle 4 weeks ago, it hurt like hell but I was convinced that I would be back to pounding pavement within a week. I didn’t believe anyone when they told me it would be much longer than that.

After a few failed attempts at continuous running, I have submitted to following a run/walk recovery program. Today I did 20 minutes of 3 min run / 1 min walk. I have to remind myself that right now there is nothing but time and nothing more important than healing completely.

I’ll be back, but not quite yet.
