Injury Recovery Update: Barely Injured

INJURY RECOVERY PROGRESS REPORT:
32 weeks since ankle sprain
19 weeks since starting appointments with specialists (osteo, physio)
13 weeks since return to running


I graduated from my injury recovery running program 3 weeks ago and have been working on a 10k training program. Last week I started some short speed intervals, and this week I bumped up my runs from 5 to 6 times a week. My ankle is not 100%, but it is getting better every day. I’ve been practicing a lot of cautious optimism as I progress, keeping my ego in check as I look at what’s next. I know that another setback may happen and I don’t want to feel overwhelmingly disappointed if it does. One day at a time, one step at a time, one heart beat at a time.
