Make More Desserts!

I’ve been making a lot of desserts lately.

The immediate reaction to this may be that it’s is a bad thing - oh no, more sugar! What about clean eating resolutions! But actually, it has mostly meant replacing store bought alternatives. Cheaper, less waste, no preservatives, all natural ingredients. Sounds perfect to me.

These vegan maple cookies were made using a “biscuits sandwich à l’érable” (translated: maple sandwich cookies) recipe. The original recipe calls for a delicious maple cream filling, but my cookies ended up a bit doughy so we’re just eating them as is. And damn are they good!
