The Art of Slow Running

Remembering the restorative power of running.

It’s easy to get caught up in training, especially leading up to a marathon. Giving each run everything you’ve got, never slowing down, and feeling more motivated with every goal you hit. But sometimes we have to slow. it. down.

Those recovery runs are as important as the fast ones or the long ones. They help increase blood flow to your muscles, facilitating your body’s repair mechanisms. Especially the day after a hard workout, a recovery run can have some huge benefits for improvement.

I know slow runs are something I still need to work on (I don’t do them slow enough!). What about you?
