My Ideal Day

A page from my bullet journal.

A page from my bullet journal.

This is the secret to my sanity during isolation.

I’m a person who likes things to be organized, structured. I also quickly lose track of time when I don’t have a plan, letting my time waste away for no reason. Huh, it’s already 2am? Or Oops, I stayed in bed until noon! You all know what I’m talking about.

As soon as I found out I would be working from home for the foreseeable future, I created a daily plan for myself. I am still working my usual 9-5 (from home), and that serves as the backbone of my routine. By having a schedule to work with, I have little daily “wins” as I accomplish each task. I’m super proud to be stretching and foam rolling every day, as these are habits I’ve spent years trying to build consistency with.

Do I follow this perfectly to the minute? No. Do I follow this every day? Hell no. But by breaking the days into smaller pieces, I feel like I accomplish way more than ever before.
